Bitcoin Price Forecast for 2025 — Traders Expect $138,000

Bitcoin’s price outlook for 2025 remains moderately optimistic. According to prediction market platform Polymarket, market participants expect BTC to rise by around 60% from its current level.

Moderate Optimism Amid Market Uncertainty

An analysis of open bets on Polymarket shows that traders anticipate the BTC/USD price to range between $59,040 and $138,617 over the next year. This data was shared on March 27 by user Ashwin on social media platform X.

“The value of this analysis lies not just in capturing market sentiment like the Fear & Greed Index but in tying those expectations to actual price targets — both bullish and bearish,” Ashwin explained. “It allows traders to compare their own price outlook with that of the broader market.”

Bullish sentiment around Bitcoin has weakened this quarter due to several factors, including uncertainty stemming from proposed trade tariffs under the Trump administration.

“A target price of $138,000 might not seem overly bullish to hardcore Bitcoin investors used to dramatic predictions, but the market remains cautious as it recovers from political and economic volatility,” one analyst noted.

Comparison with Other Forecasts

These expectations for BTC/USD align with other platforms. For example, prediction site Kalshi lists an average Bitcoin forecast of $122,000 — just $11,500 above the current all-time high.

Key Support Levels

Traders are also watching important support levels that must hold for Bitcoin’s long-term bullish trend to remain intact.

Earlier this month, economist Timothy Peterson gave a 95% probability that Bitcoin will never again drop below $69,000, based on his historically accurate “Lowest Price Forward” metric.

In his latest analysis, trader Aksel Kibar emphasized that Bitcoin must maintain the 365-day moving average around $76,000. “It’s crucial that the price holds above the yearly average,” he wrote on X on March 26.

Despite the ongoing correction, prediction markets still point to Bitcoin’s growth potential. However, investors are closely monitoring critical support levels, which could determine the next major move for the leading cryptocurrency.
